Coachella (by Wikipedia): An annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, located in the Inland Empire’s Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. It was founded by Paul Tollett in 1999 and is organized by Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of AEG Live. The event features many genres of music, including rock, indie, hip hop, and electronic dance music, as well as art installations and sculptures.
Strange that why the designers thought that this challenge is hard, when usually Coachella is almost identical towards the easy, breezy, beautiful fabric fashion design in the Caribbean area. Aside from being too tired, or they hate gypsies.
This episode is all about Keenea, Keenea, Keenea. Being the one to indirectly hire the designers to dress for here (which according to Google, no signs of her wearing the winning dress), replacing Mercedes as this episode’s mentor (probably the funniest, starting with one of the most forced scene of designers doing the memory lane) and the guest judge, Keenea’s own sister Kenisha Linton (Lecturer at Kingston University).
Top: Ryan, David, Carla
I’ll choose Ryan hands down, especially with the model really work with this outfit.
I love David’s pants, but the overall look is too much with the distracting fringe and the really unflattering cape.
Carla is kinda okay and basic, it also makes me feel like Gretchen Jones designed this dress.
Bottom: Kesia, Alexis, Renardo
The reason why I think Kesia got auf? It is the youngest look in the runway in a juvenile way, while Keenea is (without using Wikipedia to learn about her age) like in her late 30s. Though at least I know what Kesia’s signature style is (Predominantly white with a twist, usually cutoffs)
In truth, I think that Alexis should get the top spot, because it’s the only design where it is different than everybody else aside from Ryan. Although I get that this is not a dress for attention whoring, and easily the least practical of them all (since the bottom of the pants could be stuck with mud).
While Renardo, the details are great, and I have nothing else to say.
